In a remarkable act of community support, the CEO of Noble Impact Society Ghana Foundation, Mr Prince Nhyiraba Asante has donated sanitary pads to young girls and women while facilitating the registration of over 600 residents for free health insurance. The initiative, which took place at the Ahafo Ano South East District is part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations across the country. The donation of sanitary pads is aimed at addressing menstrual hygiene challenges faced by many girls and women, particularly those from low-income families.
Lack of access to sanitary products has been identified as a significant barrier to education and health, often forcing girls to miss school during their menstrual periods. By providing these essential items, the Noble Impact Society Ghana Foundation hopes to empower young girls to attend school consistently and maintain their dignity during menstruation.
Speaking at the event, the CEO of Noble Impact Society Ghana Foundation Mr Prince Nhyiraba Asante expressed the foundation’s commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of Ghanaians, particularly in underserved communities. “At Noble Impact, we believe that access to basic health needs and education should be a right, not a privilege. Today’s donation is just one of the many ways we are working to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to lead a healthy and productive life,” the CEO stated.
In addition to the distribution of sanitary pads, the foundation took the initiative to register over 600 residents for free health insurance under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). This effort is particularly significant as it provides residents with access to essential healthcare services, which many had previously been unable to afford.
The CEO noted that the registration drive was motivated by the foundation’s desire to reduce the financial burden of healthcare on families, ensuring that more people can receive medical attention when needed.“We understand the challenges that many face when it comes to accessing healthcare. By registering these residents under the NHIS, we are not only helping them secure their health but also providing peace of mind knowing that they can receive treatment without the fear of high medical costs,” the CEO added.
The event was well-attended by community leaders, residents, and volunteers who expressed their gratitude to the Noble Impact Society Ghana Foundation for their generous contributions.
Beneficiaries of the sanitary pads and health insurance registrations shared their appreciation, with many highlighting the positive impact these initiatives would have on their lives.
