Back in senior high school, my friends made me realize I wasn’t considered good-looking. I hadn’t really thought about my appearance until then, but their teasing and comments about how no guy would be interested because of my looks got to me.
Even my best friend, with good intentions, tried to give me advice on changing my dress or hairstyle to attract guys. Despite her efforts, all she managed to do was make me feel even more convinced that I was unattractive. This made me reflect on my junior high school days when I never had a boyfriend. Back then, I thought I was just being a good girl.
