Nipanekuro D/A Primary School turns death trap, Headmaster calls for intervention.

 

The Nipanekuro D/A Primary School in the Upper Denkyira West district of the central region built years ago has exposed lives of pupils and teachers to danger since it is feared to collapse any time soon.

A visit to the school by Otec fm news reporter Simon Opoku Afriyie saw the pupils learning under poor classroom blocks in an unfavorable condition.

We observed the block had cracks on the floor and windows were in their deplorable state.

In an interview with the Assistant headteacher of the School Mr Kofi Yankyera explained that the School is confronted with many challenges, and notable amongst them is the infrastructural deficit.

Mr. Yankyera expressed worry about the situation stressing that the structure is virtually collapsing and has become a death trap.

He is appealing to the government and philanthropists to come to their aid to construct a modernized school block to enhance Teaching and learning in the area.

Mr Kofi Yankyera also appealed to the government to act quickly to tackle the serious residential accommodation challenge the teaching staff, have been struggling with.

Again he made appealed to the Education Ministry to ensure that the school fencing project is completed to end the spate of robbery at the premises.
