NANA AMOANIMAA DEDE II, ADANSIHEMAA, Donates items to Females Students Victims of Fomena T.I.Ahmadiyyaa Senior Secondary School.

On Friday, 21st February,2025, Fire gutted one of the Girls Dormitory at Fomena T.I. Ahmadiyya SHS destroying students provisions, pocket monies, uniforms, mattresses, student beds, books, chop boxes, trunks, suit cases,etc.

The accident that took 15 female students hospitalized at the Adansi North District Hospital at Fomena due to unconsciousness resulting from smoke inhalation, was brought under control by the Fomena Fire Service team with support from the Ghana Police Service at Fomena.

The cost of Damage to properties and students items is estimated at GHC 221, 890.00

As part of the efforts to bring back life on campus of about 120 female students directly affected and displaced by the fire outbreak, *Nana Amoanimaa Dede II, Adansihemaa, on Tuesday, 4th March, 2025, donated variety of items mostly needed by the females to the School at a short ceremony held at the School campus*.

Among the items donated by Nana Adansihemaa included towels and sponges for bathing, Yazz Sanitary pads, females underwears, soup, underskirts,etc worth about Ghc 15,000.00

Nana Amoanimaa Dede II, used the opportunity to encourag the female students to take up their education seriously and pursue higher studies to better their future lives and that of their families as well.

Nanahemaa also cautioned students against reckless and indiscipline acts by some of the students that usually leads to such unfortunate disasters on campus.

Present at the ceremony were Mr. Okrah Thomas Kwame, the District Co-ordinating Director and Acting District Chief Executive of Adansi North District; Mr. Ibrahim Amankwaa, the District Director of Education; Alhaji Osman Baidoo, Headmaster of Fomena T.I. AMASS and Staff of the School as well as Representatives from Ahmadiyya Mission Ghana, Reps from the P.T.A. and Reps from the Old Students Association of Fomena T.I.AMASS.

The Various speakers whiles appreciating the kind gesture made by Nana Amoanimaa Dede II, Adansihemaa, also appealed for more support from the major stakeholders and the General Public to come to the aid of the School to renovate the burnt Dormitory and also provide more infrastructure on the Campus to enhance academic and moral upbringing of our Children in the School.
