The Nkawie Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of the manager of Radiant Fuel Station at Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, identified as 39-year-old Kwabena Owusu, alias “Kwabee”, had been managing the fuel station for just over nine months before he was allegedly attacked and killed by Nana Ofori Atta, believed to be in his 40s, and an accomplice who is currently on the run.
The second suspect, a physically challenged man, in his 50s, whose identity was not known at the time of filing this report, is alleged to have supplied the weapons used to carry out the heinous crime.
The incident occurred at dawn on May 26, 2025, when the assailants took advantage of the quiet early hours to rob and murder the manager with little resistance.
According to police sources, after committing the crime, the suspects made away with an unspecified amount of money and the victim’s mobile phone.
Investigations led to the arrest of the two suspects at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region after police traced calls made using the deceased’s phone.
Police also revealed that the unidentified suspect is the landlord of the house where Nana Ofori Atta was staying prior to their arrest.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for the third suspect, who remains at large. The arrested individuals are expected to be arraigned before court to face the full rigours of the law.
