More trouble for ‘banished’ Odike as Manhyia Palace hints of more sanctions

The woes of embattled businessman and Politician, Akwasi Addai Odike are not far from over as the Manhyia Palace is hinting of more sanctions in the wake if his recent banishment

MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that the seat of the Asantehene is set to officially invite Akwasi Addai Odike after the latter violated the customs and tradition of Asanteman for further sanctions after incurring their wrath.

The Asanteman Traditional Council, at an emergency meeting held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on 19th August 2022, expressed its anger over some utterances made by Akwasi Addai Odike in violation of customs and tradition of Asanteman.

Speaking further to the development, Nana Baffour Asabre Ababio who is the Asantehene’s Sumankwahene hinted on Kumasi-based Akoma FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, all is set to haul the businessman cum politician before the Asanteman Council.

‘No one should think it is finished. It’s not. We’ll summon him to come and explain his bases of allegations. In the olden days, what he did he could have had his head chopped off. He cannot bring the name of the Golden Stool which represents Asanteman into disrepute. He will be facing the spirit of Asanteman and we know what we are doing, Baffour Sumankwahene Asabre Ababio revealed.

‘Even what Odike said is right, that is not way to address issues. Is that how someone who wants to become President speaks?’ the Otumfuo Spiritualist quizzed.

“We have evidence that Odike sat on radio and spoke against the Asanteman. He has set precedence. He has also incited the youth against the chiefs of Asanteman. Now politics has taken center stage in all our lives. The politicians are supposed to consult Nananom on matters but they don’t even consult us”, he fumed
