Government calls to reduce the cost of chemicals as Farmers are suffering : Mr Agyenim Boateng

 

Mr Agyenim Boateng philanthropist in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti region has called on government as a matter of urgency to reduce the cost of agro chemicals and also subsidies other farms inputs to makes farming which is the main occupation for Ghanaians more friendly as the system is hard.

According to Mr Agyenim, Ghana depends on farmers and their motivation is vital as almost every month prices of chemicals goes high making it hard for them to supply to their farms they have invested much and hence the wake up call of the support from the government.

He made this know when donating farm equipment and input to Atwima Mponua district ahead of 37the edition of national farmers day celebration which will take place at Kyereaso . The items include 10 spraying machines, 20 Wallington boots,and 60 cutlasses all at a cost of GHC 4700
The DCE Hon Issac Kofi Marfo who received the items thank him for the kind gesture and also appeal to others to do same to support this year farmers day on Friday
