The Women’s Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Manso Adubia constituency, led by the Women’s Organizer, Miss Ruth Osei, has organized a skills training program for women in the area. The initiative, aimed at equipping women with essential skills for financial empowerment, was sponsored by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi, the Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, Hon. Berfi, and other constituency executives.
The skills training program covered various practical skills including bread making, shower gel production, liquid soap making, washing powder, Meat pie, and bath soap making. These skills are expected to help the women become financially independent by starting their own small businesses.
Speaking at the event, Miss Ruth Osei emphasized the importance of the training in improving the financial well-being of women in the constituency. She noted that the goal of the program was not only to equip the participants but also to enable them to pass on the knowledge to others in the constituency.
“This training is not just for you to benefit alone. We expect you to train other women in the community so that more women can become financially independent. I urge you all to make good use of the skills you have acquired,” Miss Osei said.
She also mentioned that the NPP Women’s Wing in the constituency has set a target to reach 85% of the women in the area with the training. Miss Osei urged the participants to propagate the good works of the NPP and rally behind the party as they prepare for the 2024 general elections.
Additionally, she assured the women that the training would not be a one-time event but would be extended to every electoral area within the constituency to benefit more women. She further promised that the beneficiaries of the training would receive capital to help them start their own businesses.
“We will ensure that this is not a one-day program. Every electoral area will benefit from this initiative, and capital will be provided to support the women who complete the training to start their own businesses,” she assured.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude to Miss Ruth Osei, MP Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, DCE Clement Opoku Gyamfi, and the constituency executives for the program. They praised the initiative and used the opportunity to appeal for financial support to help them establish their businesses after the training.
The skills training program is part of the NPP’s broader effort to empower women in the Manso Adubia constituency, ensuring they are financially secure and able to contribute meaningfully to the local economy.
