The Savanah Regional Police Command is pursuing four armed robbers who attacked and killed two persons in a mobile money operation at Sawla Thursday December 9, 2021.
According to a statement issued by Inspector Adjeikum, Public Affairs Officer in the Savannah Region on Friday December 10, 2021 said police preliminary investigations into the incident revealed that four armed robbers on unregistered motorbikes attacked Borsah Ventures and robbed the shop attendant of unspecified amount of money together with mobile phones and bolted.
While police was responding to the operation, the youth who witnessed the dastardly act, in their pursuit to get the armed robbers arrested, were shot at in the process, leading to the death of two.
Meanwhile, police have deployed anti-robbery taskforce into the Sawla community and neighborhoods to track down the killers.
The regional command is therefore appealing to the public to volunteer information leading to arrest of the perpetrators.
