Man Man Company CEO and Wife Donate Sanitary Items, Pay Medical Bills at Nkawie-Toase Hospital

The Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) of the Nkawie-Toase Government Hospital in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly has received a significant boost following a generous donation from the Chief Executive Officer of Man Man Company Limited, Mr. Akwasi Agyemang, and his wife. The philanthropic couple donated sanitary items and essential consumables valued at GH₵10,000 and also settled outstanding medical bills for selected patients at the facility.
The donation, presented on Friday, November 21, 2025, included baby diapers, wipes, mosquito nets, beverages, bottled water, and financial assistance to mothers who were unable to pay their medical expenses. The gesture coincided with the hospital’s celebration of this year’s Preterm Day, an occasion dedicated to raising awareness about babies born alive before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
This latest contribution adds to the couple’s growing record of support for the hospital. Just last year, Mr. Agyemang and his wife donated a Fire Fly phototherapy machine valued at GH₵65,000 to the MBU. The equipment—rare within the region—has proven essential in treating babies with severe jaundice, greatly improving the unit’s neonatal care capabilities.

Receiving the items on behalf of management, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Mrs. Catherine Agyemang expressed profound gratitude to the donors for their continuous commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery. She revealed that the installation of the Fire Fly phototherapy machine has significantly reduced the MBU’s dependence on Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and other advanced facilities.
According to her, “babies are no longer being transferred due to the unavailability of essential equipment,” a development she described as a great relief to both healthcare staff and mothers whose babies require urgent care.

Mrs. Agyemang appealed to other benevolent individuals, organizations, and corporate entities to emulate the remarkable generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Agyemang, noting that collective support is vital to strengthening healthcare systems at the community level.
