I Don’t Want To See You On My Lands And Rivers Again; Chief Of Kwasikrom Vows To Wipe Galamseyers

Finally, one of the chiefs in Ghana has vowed to deal mercilessly with anybody who is caught in his community lands and water bodies doing illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.

Chief of Kwasikrom, Nana Ogyeaman Kwasi Susmena the second has announced publicly on radio that, illegal miners should stay clear off the river bodies and lands that belong to Kwasikrom kingdom, which is located in the Sefwi Bodi district in the Western North Region of Ghana.

Acccording to Chief Ogyeaman Kwasi Susmena the second, he has been receiving complaint and blames that he responsible for the main reason why the galamsey miners are still operating in their land. He even argued with them that he has no idea that the illegal miners are operating in their lands.

The community members have been crying over their farm lands and the water bodies are being destroyed, so because i want my people to enjoy life in good and favorable environment, i caution all galamsey miners to stay away from my lands and water bodies within just 14 days or else they will not like how I will treat them and chase them forcefully from my community.

“I have given just 2 weeks to the galamseyers to leave the community and it’s enclaves, else i’ll be on ground to take serious actions”.

Chief Ogyeaman Kwasi Susmena the second, said this on Nyemekye Radio on Ghana maakye in Suaman Dadieso.
