Man In Tears After His 10 Acres Of Cocoa Farm Is Destroyed By Dirty Water From A Galamsey Site

A man probably between the ages of 30 and 45 years has been recorded on camera complaining bitterly about how galamsey has destroyed his 10 acres of cocoa farm, and many Ghanaians after coming across this video couldn’t keep mute over it. Speaking in the video, the man said that the cocoa farm was given to him by his father and that the family has farmed on it for over 70 years. If you watch the video carefully, you can see that the dirty water from the galamsey site has covered the entire cocoa farm.

The man was seen standing in the dirty water as someone was recording him. The water level is up to his shoulders as he was standing inside it. He said that there is a galamsey at the top part of his farm. There is a river close to the galamsey site and it is this river that they have used to wash the dirty water to his farm. He said that he is a young man and can do this galamsey work but chose to work on the farm given to him by his father.

However, the NPP government and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have disappointed him. They have given opportunities to illegal miners and they are destroying people’s cocoa farms. He is very sad and does know what to do.
