Man, 20, arrested for stealing wares during the devastating fire outbreak at Kejetia Market

A young man believed to be in his late 20s has been arrested for allegedly stealing wares during the devastating fire outbreak at the Kejetia Market in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.

The suspect was arrested by police officers who were at the scene to help fire fighters douse out the inferno.

Identity of the suspect is not immediately known.

Some traders who saw incident told OTEC News Jacob Agyenim Boateng that the man was busily looting goods from shops during the fire outbreak.

They suspect is currently with police at Kejetia assisting investigations.
