THE ASSEMBLY Member for Krofrom East electoral area, Hon. Patrick Kwame Frimpong, has donated school uniforms to three schools
worth GH10, 000 in his electoral area.
The school uniforms were presented to the pupils during a short ceremony.
Hon Patrick Kwame Frimpong reiterated his commitment to motivating the pupils to take their studies seriously to enable them to have a bright future.
He said the donation, according to him, to help alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians, and help make the beneficiary pupils neat and feel comfortable to learn.
The beneficiary schools were, New Tafo M/A Basic School and JHS, Adabyia Islamic Basic school and JHS.
Speaking to media after the presentations Hon Patrick Kwame Frimpong said the idea was to support the needy pupils in his electoral area to boost their morale and confidence to go to school to learn.
He pointed out that supporting school children would enhance their learning and would go a long way to develop the human resource of the area.
According to him, education was the best tool to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, hence his commitment to providing the needed support to the electoral area to help them reach their potential in education.
Hon. Frimpong who is the Presiding Member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and also the Chief Executive Officer of Safe Journey Foundation, an NGO which focuses on road safety campaigns, said the donation forms part of his annual contributions to enhance teaching and learning in the electoral area.
He also encouraged parents and guardians not to relent in their efforts to provide basic materials for their wards.
He stressed the need for parents to invest high in their wards education because education is the bed rock of every developed society or community.
Hon Patrick Kwame frimpong commended the teachers of aforementioned schools for their dedication, hard work and patient with the pupils.
On their part, some of the teachers and students of the beneficiary schools who received the donation
expressed gratitude to the Hon Patrick Kwame frimpong for the donation.
They said the donation had come at the right time to motivate the school children to attend school regularly and learn hard.
They commended the Assemblyman for his continued support towards the provision of quality education in the area.
