The Regional Minister for Ahafo, Hon. George Yaw Boakye, on today, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, sworn into office six (6) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Ahafo Region. Hon. Ernest Kwarteng, the Municipal Chief Executive of Tano North after securing 100% confirmation from the Assembly Members together with his colleagues, were sworn into office, with a call on them to work harder to deal with the issues of sanitation and environmental challenges, low revenue generation, inadequate infrastructure, high rate of youth unemployment and the like.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Regional Coordinating Council’s conference room in the presence of many dignitaries such as Nana Ansah Adu Baah, Omanhene of Yamfo and the President of the Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Yaw Basoa – Ahafo Regional Representative to the Council of State, Traditional and Religious Leaders, NPP party Stalwarts as well as Families and Friends of the appointees as well as the Fourth Estate of the real (Media) .
Presiding Judge of the Goaso Circuit Court, His Honor Charles Kwasi Acheampong, led the process of administering the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy to the MMDCEs. The others were:

Hon. Collins Offinam Takyi – MCE, Tano South
Hon. Robert Dwomoh Mensah – DCE, Asutifi South
Hon. Yaw Osei Boahen – MCE, Asunafo North
Hon. Anthony Mensah – DCE, Asutifi North
Nana Ansah Adu Baah, Omanhene of Yamfo and the President of the Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs in his speech admonished the MMDCEs to do away with selfishness in the discharge of their duties since a lot is expected from them as they represent the President in their respective districts and municipalities.
Hon. Yaw Osei Boahen, Dean of MMDCEs on behalf of his colleagues expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the President and the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. George Boakye, Members of Parliament, Religious and Traditional leaders, Assembly Members, Security services and the various Political parties for the confidence reposed in them to serve the good people of Ahafo and Ghana at large.
