GREEN GHANA DAY, DCE CALLS FOR GREATER COLLABORATION FROM TRADITIONAL AUTHORITIES TO OUR LAND.

The District Executive for Bosome Freho District, Hon. Yaw Danso has urged traditional authorities and their subjects to collaborate with the Assembly to strictly prevent anyone who will try to excavate any land for their personal gain,this came to light during a tree planting exercise at Anyinase reclamation site.


He therefore laud government for such initiatives and their quest to revive our degraded forest in the district.

The DCE, appealed to the community to ensure the safety and survival of the trees.
He said a lot has lost their life due to activities of illegal miners. He added that, reclamation exercises was dear to his heart and called on chiefs to assist protect such area’s to avoid the return of these galamseyers.

Speaking on behalf of forestry commission, Mr. Adom Abrantie briefly said 1000 trees were allocated to Anyinase reclamation site and over 2000 were also issued to farmer’s who were interested in the project.

He urged the community to adopt the project as their own since it will protect live and property for the entire community.

He stated that, their outfit will do anything possible to ensure the tree’s leave up to expectations.

 

Nana Akua Aboagyewaa,queen mother of Anyinase also advised the gathering to take good care of the planted trees today to realised it aim.

She urged forestry commission to supply more trees to farmer’s in the district for them to plant it in their various farm land.
She therefore thank government and the Assembly for their support.
