A devastating road accident occurred at Tanoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Monday, August 26, 2024, leaving dozens of passengers injured.

Eyewitnesses report that a heavily loaded trailer with registration number GC-1758-09 collided with a commercial van with registration number AS5198-23.

The van, carrying a full load of passengers, was traveling from Abuakwa to Sofoline when the accident happened.

The impact of the collision resulted in severe injuries to dozens of passengers.

Emergency services rushed the victims to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Kwadaso SDA Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the trailer is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations into the cause of the accident.
