Fmr. ECG Boss declares commitment to promote quality education in Ejisu municipal

 

The former managing director of the electricity company of Ghana, a native of Asotwe, Mr Kwame Agyemang-Budu has underscored the need for key stakeholders in education to help reduce the burden on the government in education sector with infrastructure and education materials.

He however appealed to parents to use the opportunity of free senior high school policy to provide educational needs of their wards to help them stay in classrooms.

Mr Kwame Agyeman-Budu was speaking to Joseph Amoateng during the inter schools Quiz competition organized by Friends of Agyeman-Budu for some basic schools in the Ejisu municipality including Asotwe M/A primary/JHS, Asotwe R/C primary, Bomfa Methodist primary/JHS and Akyawkrom JHS held at Asotwe.

At the end of the competition, Bomfa Methodist Junior High school emerged as winners for JHS category while Asotwe primary school secured first position for primary category.

The group however commissioned ultra modern urinal facility for Asotwe M/A basic school supported by Mr Kwame Agyeman-Budu.

In his part, the municipal chief executive for Ejisu municipal, Hon Samuel Oduro Frimpong commended, Mr Kwame
Agyeman-Budu and his group for showing much commitment towards quality education in the municipality and appealed to individuals citizens to emulate same.

The chairman for Friends of Agyeman-Budu, Mr Paul Opoku said that, the motive behind the program is to help promote quality education in the community.
