Late Dery Prospera
Staff and students of Jirapa Midwifery Nursing training college are still finding it hard to come to terms following the demise of their final year student.
Dery Prospera, the deceased, passed on at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital in Jirapa on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
She hailed from Nandom, a Municipal in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
Information available reveals that Prospera had not been well for sometime and was admitted at the St. Joseph hospital at the emergency unit.
She was part of the final year group of students who recently ended their final examination and she was even on her sick bed while her colleagues defended and completed their case study in the school on Friday, October 6, 2023.
The exact cause of the death is not yet known to premier News. Com but the body is currently deposited at the St. Joseph mortuary.
The death of such a person is a tragic not only to the student body but to both parents and the wider community especially that she just finished with her exams recently
Students and friends are expressing shock and disbelief at her unfortunate death especially on social media.
It is important that the school and students’ families to come together during such times to provide emotional support and counselling to those affected.
