The general Secretary of professional and Managerial Staff Union (PMSU) from the department of security of AngloGold Ashanti, Ernest Sakyi Addo has been ajudged as the best worker for 2021, at the may day celebration in Kumasi.
The Ashanti regional celebration of workers day was graced by the Ashanti regional minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah, the mayor of Kumasi, Hon Osei Assibey Antwi, the Asokore mampong Municipal chief executive, Hon Alidu Seidu, the Oforikrom municipal chief executive, Hon Gloria Timah Gambrah, the municipal Chief of Suame, Hon Dr Bobie Boahen.
The Ashanti regional chairman of the Trade Union Congress, Mr Amanfo Acquah and his acting deputy secretary, Mr Emmanuel Dankwah were supported by the members drew from various institutions in the region held at the regional coordinating council in Kumasi.
The Ashanti regional minister in his statement applauded workers in the region for their contributions towards the development of the country in spite of covid-19 pandemic.
After the presentation of awards to some selected staffs on their extreme performance in their various work places, the best staff of Ghana mines workers union, Mr Ernest Sakyi Addo expressed gratitude to the leadership of TUC for honoring his commitment which he thinks will motivate him and others to continue show much commitment in their daily activities.
