Our forefathers say that if you pay respect to the great, you pave way for your own greatness. It is on this score that I paid a courtesy call on the venerable His Excellency John Agyekum Kufour, Ghana’s ex-president, a great son of Asanteman and interestingly a former Member of Parliament for our beloved Atwima. Such great honour to be in his presence once again. It was a privilege to learn once again from his deep political experience and knowledge.
On a personal level, I was lucky enough to have been nurtured and given political tutelage by this colossus of our party for which reason I count myself blessed. Indeed, it is true when our elders say the young can walk faster but the elder knows the road. I remain eternally grateful to our father for opening the doors for me and for always willing to show us the road. May God continue to bless President Kufour and our great party.
