The President of the council of Northern Chief Of Mpasatia Chief Abdullaih Mohammed has stated that Chiefs including the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu, the Okyehene Omoatia Ofori Panin and others must step in to address the confusion currently going on between the minority and the majority in Parliament.
According to the outspoken chief Imam, the recent brawl in Parliament is a threat to our democracy and that it goes a long way to impede the developmental agenda of the country.
He insisted that politicians must understand that the ordinary Ghanaians gave them the mandate to represent them at the judicial level hence they must show respect to the people since the country doesn’t belongs to them but rather the ordinary Ghanaians.
Chief Abdullah Mohammed called on politicians and Ghanaians to unite so we can jealously guide our democracy and the peace we are currently enjoying as a country since the world is keeping an eye on the happenings in our Parliament.
“Politicians are humans just like we the ordinary Ghanaians and that our high profile chiefs must call them to order as we enter new year, Am of the view that the attitude happening in Parliament is a disgrace to our democratic dispensation.
Chief Abdullaih further advised the youth in the country to heed to advice and desist from all forms of criminalities and also desire to get rich in an unacceptable manner.
