Brother Soadwah Calls on Men to Lead by Example, Shun Crime and Illicit Activities

The Chairman of the Kumasi North Diocesan Men’s Fellowship of the Methodist Church Ghana, Brother Thomas Adjei Soadwah, has called on men across the country to rise to their responsibilities as leaders by setting good examples and staying away from crime, drugs, and illicit activities.
He made this passionate appeal during the inauguration of the Akropong Men’s Fellowship branch in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The new branch becomes the 68th to be inaugurated under the Kumasi North Diocese, reflecting the continuous expansion of the fellowship as a platform to unite men, strengthen their faith, and develop their leadership roles in society.

Addressing the gathering, Brother Soadwah expressed worry over the alarming rate of crime in the country, pointing out that most crimes are committed by men. According to him, this worrying trend tarnishes the image of men, who are expected to serve as heads of families and institutions, and role models for younger generations.
“Men are supposed to lead with discipline, integrity, and love. Unfortunately, we see too many men being involved in crimes, drugs, and immoral lifestyles. This is not the path Christ has set for us. If we truly want to build a better nation, we must begin by reforming ourselves and leading by example,” he cautioned.

Brother Soadwah further urged the public to embrace positive living, stressing that discipline and moral uprightness among men could significantly reduce the number of people sent to courts and prisons. He emphasized that following the teachings of Christ is not only a personal choice but also a responsibility that impacts families, communities, and the entire nation.

The inauguration of the Akropong branch was attended by members of the church, local leaders, and the community at large, who welcomed the establishment of the fellowship as an avenue for men to support one another, grow spiritually, and contribute to the development of both the church and society.

With the addition of the new branch, the Kumasi North Diocese continues to strengthen its Men’s Fellowship network, championing Christ-centered leadership and moral discipline as tools for building a stronger Ghana.
