Kumasi North Diocese Men’s Fellowship Warns Against Drugs, Promotes Christ-Centered Lifestyle

The Kumasi North Diocesan Men’s Fellowship of the Methodist Church Ghana has issued a strong call to men across the country to shun drugs, crime, and other illicit activities, and instead embrace a Christ-centered lifestyle that promotes discipline, peace, and development.

This message was delivered by the Chairman of the Diocese’s Men’s Fellowship, Brother Thomas Adjei Soadwah, during the inauguration of a new branch at Akropong in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The event marked the establishment of the 68th branch under the Kumasi North Diocese, highlighting the growing efforts of the fellowship to mobilize men towards moral and spiritual transformation.

In his address, Brother Soadwah lamented the rising crime rate in Ghana, stressing that statistics show most crimes are committed by men. This, he said, paints a troubling picture of male leadership in society, as men are expected to serve as heads of families and institutions.

“Men cannot continue to be at the center of crime and destruction in our communities. We are supposed to lead with integrity, discipline, and love. The time has come for us to reject drugs, illegal activities, and every form of immorality, and instead walk in the path of Christ,” Brother Soadwah declared.

He further noted that living responsibly and positively will not only safeguard families and communities but also reduce the number of cases sent to the courts and prisons across the country. He emphasized that Christ-centered leadership among men is the surest way to build a stronger and morally upright nation.

The inauguration of the Akropong branch drew enthusiastic participation from church members, community leaders, and the wider public. It also reinforced the Diocese’s commitment to creating platforms where men can develop spiritually and morally, while taking up their rightful roles as leaders in the church and society.

With 68 branches now active, the Kumasi North Diocesan Men’s Fellowship continues to expand its outreach, urging men everywhere to be examples of Christ’s teachings and agents of positive change in their communities.
