The Queen Mother of Asuofia, Nana Barnieh Ahenkan, has commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality, Hon. Frank Yeboah, for rehabilitating a dilapidated bridge at Asuofia New Site, which had long posed challenges to residents.
For years, the bridge remained in a deplorable state, making movement difficult, especially for farmers transporting goods and students commuting to school. During the rainy season, the situation worsened, often cutting off access to key areas. Residents repeatedly called for intervention, and Hon. Yeboah, upon assuming office, assured them that he would address the issue.
True to his word, the MP facilitated the restoration of the bridge, bringing much-needed relief to the community. In response, Nana Barnieh Ahenkan expressed her deep appreciation for his commitment to development, noting that the project has significantly improved accessibility and safety in the area. She urged him to continue his good work in addressing other infrastructure needs within the municipality.
Hon. Frank Yeboah, acknowledging the gratitude, emphasized that development is a continuous process and assured that his leadership would work to ensure equitable distribution of projects across all communities.
Residents of Asuofia New Site, who had suffered the impact of the dilapidated bridge for years, have also expressed their joy and relief. Many believe the intervention will enhance economic activities, reduce travel difficulties, and improve the overall well-being of the people.
The rehabilitation of the bridge forms part of Hon. Yeboah’s broader vision of improving infrastructure in Atwima Nwabiagya, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
