Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene Receives Citation of Honor from TEIN KNUST Leadership

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, was honored this afternoon by the leadership of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who presented him with a citation of honor for his remarkable support and participation in their recent general meeting.

The TEIN KNUST leadership paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Amoakohene to express their heartfelt appreciation for his continued engagement with the student body. The gesture was meant to acknowledge his active role in supporting the growth and development of students, particularly in the areas of leadership and community service.

In a brief ceremony, Dr. Amoakohene received the beautifully designed citation, which he accepted with gratitude. The citation serves as a testament to his commitment to the youth and his encouragement of their involvement in leadership roles. He also took the opportunity to reflect on the significance of mentorship and leadership in shaping the future of Ghana.

“Receiving this citation today is both humbling and inspiring. It reminds me of the reason we serve— to uplift and empower the next generation of leaders,” Dr. Amoakohene shared with the gathering. He further expressed his dedication to supporting the youth of Ghana, urging them to stay focused on their studies and leadership development.

The Regional Minister emphasized the importance of youth involvement in national development, stressing that the strength and progress of any nation rest largely on the active participation of its young people. He encouraged the student leaders of TEIN KNUST to continue pursuing their goals with unity, purpose, and resilience, assuring them that the future of the nation was in good hands with leaders like them.

The leadership of TEIN KNUST, in return, expressed their sincere appreciation for Dr. Amoakohene’s contributions to their initiatives. They praised his commitment to youth leadership and expressed their gratitude for his efforts in making positive changes in the lives of young people across the region. They also vowed to continue working alongside him to promote the values of unity, empowerment, and service to the nation.

The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between government officials and student organizations in fostering an environment where young people can thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development. Dr. Amoakohene’s recognition by TEIN KNUST further solidified his role as a mentor and advocate for youth empowerment.

As the event concluded, both the Ashanti Regional Minister and the student leadership expressed their eagerness to work together in the future, emphasizing that the journey towards a stronger Ghana requires the active involvement of every citizen, especially the youth.
