In a thought-provoking revelation that has sparked wide debate among Christian circles, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Amagashi Herbal and Spiritual Centre, Apostle Dr. Samuel Amagashi, has stated that the fruit eaten by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, as recorded in the Bible, was not an ordinary fruit such as an apple, but rather a proverbial expression representing sexual intercourse.

According to Apostle Dr. Amagashi, many believers and even some renowned preachers have for years misunderstood the true meaning of that biblical event due to a lack of deep spiritual interpretation and scriptural insight. Speaking in an exclusive interview with the media, the herbal doctor and preacher emphasized that the Bible never explicitly mentioned the name or type of fruit that Adam and Eve ate, yet many scholars and pastors have wrongly concluded that it was an apple.

He argued that the account of Adam and Eve realizing they were naked immediately after eating the “fruit” was not a physical reaction to food, but rather a spiritual and moral awakening after engaging in sexual activity. “The fruit that Adam and Eve ate was sex — not an apple. That’s why, right after the act, their eyes were opened, and they realized they were naked. It was a proverbial expression in Scripture that many pastors fail to understand,” Apostle Dr. Amagashi explained.

He lamented that many pastors and men of God today have failed to teach this deeper biblical truth because they lack a proper understanding of the mysteries contained in the Word of God. “Some pastors preach what they do not understand. They take the Bible literally and confuse their members. Until we approach the Scriptures with spiritual discernment, we will continue misleading the congregation,” he added.

Apostle Dr. Amagashi further charged men to take good care of their sexual health, stressing that manhood is a divine gift and part of God’s creation meant for procreation and fulfillment of marital duties. He boldly declared that no man with a non-functioning penis can enter the Kingdom of God unless he seeks treatment and restores his natural function, as sexuality plays a role in fulfilling God’s plan for humanity.

“Every man needs a thick and strong manhood to satisfy his wife because the man’s way is in the woman,” he said, emphasizing that weak or malfunctioning manhood symbolizes spiritual and physical weakness. He encouraged men facing such challenges to seek proper medical or herbal treatment, assuring them that his herbal center provides solutions to restore manhood strength and vitality.

He described it as a divine responsibility for every man to keep himself physically and spiritually fit, stating that a man’s failure to perform his conjugal duties can have broader spiritual implications. “If your manhood is not working, you need to seek help before it’s too late. God designed manhood for a purpose, and fulfilling that purpose is part of godly living,” Apostle Dr. Amagashi declared.

Apostle Dr. Amagashi also advised Christians not to shy away from discussing sexual and marital issues in church, saying such discussions should be handled with biblical understanding rather than shame or secrecy. He called for a new generation of preachers who can boldly teach hidden truths in the Scriptures without fear or misunderstanding.

The message from Apostle Dr. Samuel Amagashi has since generated discussions among religious scholars and believers across Ghana, with many describing his interpretation as both bold and controversial. Yet, he insists that his teaching is rooted in divine revelation and meant to open the eyes of believers to the deeper meanings of the Word of God.
