At the 100 years Anniversary Celebration and Home Coming by the Anyinasu SDA church in the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti Region, with the theme: I WILL GO LEADING, Nana Akwasi Awobaah ll the chief of Anyinasu has declare his commitment towards the development of community by donated GH 20,000 cedis for the construction of the new Nursing and Midwifery Training College at Anyinasu.
Nana Akwasi Awobaah urged parents to prioritize investing in their children’s education for the betterment of their future and the country at large, the only legacy a parent or a person can leave for his or her children is education. Nana Awobaah said education is the most important source of empowering and providing opportunities to youth to help drive Ghana’s development and in the process create jobs, and is one of the important tools for national development adding that education is the bases to the society.
Anyinasuhene Nana Awobaah take the opportunity to admonish the students to shun all other things that could have negative effect on their education and concentrate on their studies, stick to their books learn hard to get access to the Anyinasu Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
Finally Nana Awobaah advised students to be self-disciplined, focused, determined and persevere to achieve the objective for, to build a foundation for your own life, that of your family, your community and this dear country of us so that you could be part of the development of the country.
The Special Guest of Honor the Vice President His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia said Anyinasu SDA church is not just place of worship, it is a symbol of hope, a source of strength, and a beacon of light for the entire region. Through the years, this church has played an essentials role in shaping the lives of countless individuals, instilling in them values of compassion, service, and love for humanity.
Dr Bawumia urged that we must remain committed to the core principles that have guided this church for a century – faith, love, unity and serv. Let us continue to be a source of support and encouragement for one another, extending a helping hand to those in need within our community and beyond. I am glad to hear that the church has initiated steps of establishing a Nursing and Midwifery Training College at Anyinasu. This will, in no doubt, shape the live of individuals and the entire communities within the Anyinasu enclave.
The Vice President Dr Bawumia said a world filled with uncertainties and rapid changes, we must strive to adapt and embrace new ways of spreading the massage of hope and faith. Embracing technology, fostering education (as you have started), and empowering the youth will enable us to preserve the legacy of our church and reach new generations.
As Ghana’s Vice President I am not proud of the Anyinasu SDA church accomplishments and initiative, but also deeply grateful for the positive impact it has had on our nation. The SDA church is known for dedication to social welfare initiatives, healthcare, and education has contributed significant to the well-being and development of people globally.
Finally Dr Mahamudu Bawumia also donated GH 50,000 cedis to support the establishing of the Anyinasu Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
The District Pastor of Anyinasu SDA church Pastor Isaac Aduboffour said the church’s history informed us that the pioneers of the church fought with great courage and perceived on with unity filled with encouragement. Discouragement was out of their dictionary. In spite of all toils, depravity, and hardship associated with their work, no murmur arose from their heart all because of the blessed hope and in whom they had believed.
Pastor Isaac Aduboffour charge fellow members to celebrate this 100 years Anniversary with an enthusiastic spirit and a joy filled heart in His service. As the son of man came to serve but not to be served, so should His true and faithful followers be.
Anyinasu SDA exists today because of the dedication and selfless nature of our pioneers. The pioneers succeeded in leading the way, as the theme for this anniversary denotes; I WILL GO: LEADING THE WAY, with the spirit of working in unity, diligence, perseverance and commitment. Let’s keep the spirit of the pioneers alive; let it be in you today.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE ANYINASU SDA CHURCH
History reveals that our head chief named Nana Kwame Nkuduo then was returning from Ejisu to Anyinasu with his sons, Opanin Peter Yamoah, Opanin Yaw Amankwaah, and some others. As there were less means of transportation, he first rested a Wiamoase. At Wiamoase, they came in contact with some European Adventist preachers proclaiming the Advent message. The aforementioned Chief questioned the whites of their mission and message and it was told him and his companions.
Being made fully aware of the truthfulness of their message, the Chief Nana Kwame Nkuduo and his sons with him accepted the Adventist message and then promised to send the message to his hometown. Hence arrangement was made for the Adventist message to be proclaimed to the people of Anyinasu on his arrival. Pastor Lanford was the speaker for the program and the effort was six persons in addition to Nana Kwame Nkuduo and his companions was had initially accepted the message. Their names were: Opanin Joshua Firi, Opanin Kwaku Mean, Mary Gyebuaah, Madam Akua Fram, Yaa Abrafi, and Kyenkyehene who was elected as a deacon.
The Church was established in the year 1922. As the Chief was from the ASONA Clan the church became Popularly know as ASONA church. Credence should be given to Opanin Peter Yamoah, the first born of Nana Kwame Nkuduo, for his pivotal role played when the church was established.
