Alan Kyerematen Pledges to Revive Abandoned Projects in Ghana if Elected, Calls for Unity in 2024 Elections

During the Movement for Change mega walk at Kumasi , Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the presidential candidate for the Movement for Change, highlighted the critical issue of project discontinuity as a major challenge facing Ghana. Addressing a large gathering of supporters, Kyerematen criticized both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their failure to continue government projects initiated by their predecessors.

Kyerematen emphasized that the lack of continuity in governance has hindered the nation’s progress, stating that the NDC has neglected projects started by the NPP, while the NPP has similarly abandoned initiatives launched by the NDC.

“Ghana suffers from a persistent cycle of abandoned projects due to the lack of continuity in governance,” Kyerematen declared. “When the NDC is in power, they fail to continue projects initiated by the NPP, and vice versa. This is a significant hindrance to our development and progress as a nation.”

He pledged that if elected, his administration would prioritize the completion of all abandoned projects, regardless of their political origins. “When I am voted into power, I will ensure that every abandoned project by both the NPP and NDC is revived and completed. We cannot afford to waste resources and opportunities by neglecting these initiatives,” he affirmed.
