A/R: Artisans Laud Phoenix Insurance for Providing Free Health Screening and Medication

Artisans at Suame Magazine Zone 2 in the Ashanti Region have expressed profound appreciation to Phoenix Insurance Company after benefiting from a comprehensive free health screening exercise that served more than 100 individuals.

The outreach, organized as part of Phoenix Insurance’s corporate social responsibility commitment, offered beneficiaries a range of medical services—including blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, general consultation, and free medication. Participants whose conditions required further medical attention were referred to designated health facilities for advanced care.

Speaking after the exercise, the Head of Micro Insurance at Phoenix Health, Mrs. Ivy Kyerewa Dadzie, highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, stressing that many life-threatening diseases begin without noticeable symptoms. She encouraged Ghanaians to take advantage of health screening initiatives and make regular checkups a personal priority.

“Early detection is one of the most reliable ways to prevent critical health complications. Regular medical checkups help individuals understand their health status and make informed choices about their well-being,” she noted.

The Head of Operations at Phoenix Insurance Company, Mr. Gabriel Adu Asare, clarified that the outreach was not limited to policyholders. He explained that the health screening was open to everyone in the community, reflecting Phoenix Insurance’s commitment to supporting both clients and non-clients through health education and preventive care.

Mr. Asare also introduced participants to the company’s Ahotor Plan, a specially designed health insurance product for traders and informal sector workers. The plan offers affordable contributions in exchange for an insurance card that enables access to quality healthcare services.

Beneficiaries of the exercise described the initiative as timely and impactful, thanking Phoenix Insurance for extending essential healthcare services to their doorstep. They urged their fellow artisans and the general public to patronize Phoenix Insurance products and embrace preventive healthcare practices.
