Over 100 Artisans Receive Free Medication and Health Checks from Phoenix Health Insurance

More than 100 artisans at Suame Magazine Zone 21 in the Ashanti Region have received free medical screening and medication through a comprehensive health outreach programme organized by Phoenix Health Insurance as part of its corporate social responsibility commitment.

The exercise offered a wide range of medical services, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and general health consultations. Beneficiaries who showed signs of potential health complications were referred to designated health facilities for further examination and appropriate medical care.

Addressing the media after the successful exercise, the Head of Micro Insurance at Phoenix Health, Mrs. Ivy Kyerewa Dadzie, urged Ghanaians to prioritise their health by undergoing regular medical checkups. She explained that many life-threatening conditions begin silently, with little or no symptoms, making early detection crucial for preventing severe health outcomes.

Mrs. Dadzie encouraged the public to participate in free health screening programmes whenever they are available, noting that such initiatives empower individuals to understand their health status and take preventive measures before conditions deteriorate.

On his part, the Head of Operations at Phoenix Health Insurance, Mr. Gabriel Adu-Asare, clarified that the health screening exercise was not restricted to only clients or policyholders. He stated that the initiative was open to all community members, reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting both its customers and the general public through life-saving health interventions.

Mr.Gabriel Adu-Asare also took the opportunity to educate participants about the company’s Ahotor Plan, a specialized insurance package designed for traders and informal sector workers. The plan allows individuals to make affordable contributions and obtain an insurance card that grants access to essential healthcare services.

Many of the beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to Phoenix Health Insurance for bringing crucial healthcare services directly to their doorstep. They described the outreach as timely and impactful, urging their colleagues and the wider population to patronize Phoenix Health Insurance products and prioritize their health.
