In a heartwarming initiative aimed at supporting education in rural communities, Aduanaba Kofi Ampong Emmanuel, a Kumasi-based journalist and morning show host at Mabesh FM, has donated essential educational materials to pupils in selected schools across the Atwima Nwabiagya South and Atwima Mponua Districts of the Ashanti Region.

The donation benefited pupils from Mpasatia Amadu D/A Basic School, African Faith Basic School (Mpasatia) in the Atwima Mponua district,Toase M/A Basic School in the Atwima Nwabiagya South district and Wioso Presby Basic A and B Schools in the Asante Akyem North municipal reaching children from lower to upper primary classes. The materials included exercise books, pens, and pencils, which were particularly aimed at supporting orphans and pupils from financially challenged homes who often struggle to access basic learning supplies.

Speaking during the presentation, Aduanaba Kofi Ampong emphasized the importance of providing children with the tools they need to succeed academically.

“It gives me great joy to put smiles on the faces of these pupils. Many of them are eager to learn but lack basic supplies. This is my small way of encouraging them and supporting their dreams,” he said.

He added that this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to uplift underprivileged schools and called on other individuals, organizations, and stakeholders to invest in programs that empower children through education.

Headteachers of the beneficiary schools expressed deep gratitude to the journalist for his thoughtful gesture, describing the donation as both timely and impactful.

“For many of these pupils, this is the first time they are receiving brand-new books and stationery. Aduanaba’s generosity is more than just a donation; it is an inspiration for these children to pursue education with hope,” said Mrs. Akosua Osei, Headteacher of Mpasatia Amadu D/A Basic School.

Parents and guardians also praised Aduanaba Kofi Ampong, noting that the donation significantly reduced the financial burden of acquiring school supplies at the start of the academic year. Pupils were visibly excited, expressing their appreciation and promising to work harder in their studies to honor the support they received.

This initiative highlights the impact that individual actions can have on bridging educational gaps in rural Ghana. By providing basic learning materials, Aduanaba Kofi Ampong has not only supported academic learning but has also inspired hope and motivation among the pupils.

The journalist has pledged to continue similar interventions in other deprived communities, reinforcing the importance of education as a tool for personal and societal development. His efforts serve as a call to action for other philanthropists and organizations to invest in initiatives that empower the next generation of learners.
