Improving Health:Ahafo Regional minister praises CJA, reaffirmed govt’s commitment to expanding health sector

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding infrastructure development of the health sector.

She said this was to ensure that the people have access to quality healthcare delivery in their areas.

The minister made the statement during ChristianJournalist and Associates’ maiden football tournament and Gloucuma free screening at Ahafo Mim in Asutifi North constituency.

The purpose of the tournament was part of CJA evangelism outreach to win souls for Christ and mobilize funds to support the sick to transform lives. In attendance, the dignitaries for the program were the regional Minister, the new MCE in the district, and the Mim traditional council.

All the dignitaries who were present to grace the occasion also made cash donation to the association spearheaded by Mr Armstrong Oboudium commonly known as Evangelist Obour Badwenba to complement the group effort to help humanity.

Speaking at the program the Minister said, she would make sure all the district in her jurisdiction would get their fair share in the healthcare expansion.

Hon Charity Gardiner further urged the residents to maintain regular checkups to improve livelihood so far as healthcare is concerned.

 

She commended the organizers of the Christian Journalist Associates for their continuous support of the well-being of the people of the Ahafo enclave.

 

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asunafo North District MCE Hon. Joseph Agbaribo for his side advised the youth to abstain from drug abuse for their future welfare.

Nana Baffour Awuah II, Mim kyidomhene speaking on behalf of the Mim paramount chief Dr Okofrobour Dr. Yaw Agyei II, implored the youth to prioritize Education and refrain from any immoral activities that will ruin their bright future.
