Alan Kyerematen Declares Himself the Referee for Peace in 2024 Elections, Calls for Movement for Change Victory

Presidential candidate for the Movement for Change, Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has boldly declared that his party is the only force capable of ensuring peace before, during, and after the 2024 general elections. Speaking to hundreds of enthusiastic supporters during the Movement for Change mega walk at Kumasi Mall, Kyerematen positioned himself as the “referee” who can bring calm and stability to the nation’s political landscape.

Addressing the crowd, Kyerematen cautioned that a victory for either of the two dominant political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the New Patriotic Party (NPP), would only lead to unrest in Ghana. He argued that his Movement for Change is the only party that can secure the peace Ghanaians desire in the highly anticipated 2024 elections.

In his speech, Kyerematen described the 2024 elections as a critical moment for the country and positioned himself as the neutral candidate who can lead Ghana through the elections without chaos. According to him, a win for the NPP would bring trouble, while an NDC victory would also stir up unrest. He added that only a victory for the Movement for Change can guarantee the peace Ghanaians deserve.

“I am the referee for Ghana in the 2024 general elections,” Kyerematen proclaimed to loud cheers from his supporters. “If the NDC wins, it will create trouble for Ghana. If the NPP wins, it will also create trouble. The only party that can bring peace and stability before, during, and after the elections is the Movement for Change.”

He emphasized that a Movement for Change victory would be accepted in good faith by both the NPP and NDC, as his leadership represents a balanced and fair alternative to the two-party system that has dominated Ghana’s political scene for decades.

Kyerematen further assured Ghanaians that his administration would work to prevent political violence and safeguard the nation’s democratic process. He called on both the NDC and NPP to commit to a peaceful election process, no matter the outcome, and urged them to respect the will of the people.

“When the Movement for Change wins the 2024 elections, I guarantee that both the NDC and NPP will accept the results in good faith. My leadership is one that brings balance, and I will make sure that Ghana moves forward in unity,” Kyerematen stated.

The former Minister of Trade and Industry emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence between political parties, noting that Ghana’s peace and stability should not be sacrificed for political ambitions. He warned that if the country continues down its current path of heightened political tension, it risks facing serious consequences.

Kyerematen took the opportunity to highlight why the Movement for Change is the best option for Ghanaians in the 2024 elections. He argued that the country’s political landscape has been polarized by the “winner-takes-all” approach of the NPP and NDC, which he says has led to deep divisions in the nation. His Movement for Change, he stressed, offers an inclusive, unifying platform that prioritizes national development over partisan politics.

“For too long, Ghana has been trapped in a cycle of division, where politics benefits only a few while the majority of Ghanaians are left behind. The Movement for Change will break that cycle,” Kyerematen said. “We will create a government that works for everyone, not just those who are politically connected.”

Hon Alan Kyerematen called on Ghanaians from all walks of life to join his movement, which he described as a platform for real change, peace, and progress.

The mega walk, which took place at Kumasi City Mall, saw hundreds of supporters from the Ashanti Region gather in support of Kyerematen’s vision for a peaceful and prosperous Ghana. Participants wore T-shirts and carried banners bearing the Movement for Change’s slogans, chanting and singing in solidarity with their candidate.

Kyerematen thanked the people of Kumasi and the Ashanti Region for their unwavering support, reminding them of the critical role they will play in the upcoming elections. “Kumasi has always stood with me, and together, we will win this election and bring peace to Ghana,” he said.

The event was part of the Movement for Change’s ongoing efforts to rally grassroots support across the country ahead of the 2024 elections. With his message of peace and stability resonating strongly with voters, Kyerematen is positioning his party as a key contender in what is expected to be one of Ghana’s most hotly contested elections.

As the 2024 elections approach, Kyerematen’s message of peace, balance, and inclusive governance is gaining momentum. He continues to emphasize the need for a departure from the entrenched two-party system, which he argues has failed to deliver lasting peace and development for Ghanaians.

In his closing remarks at the Kumasi mega walk, Kyerematen urged all Ghanaians to vote for the Movement for Change to secure the nation’s future. “We have the opportunity to create a new Ghana—a Ghana that works for everyone and is at peace. The choice is clear: if you want peace, if you want progress, vote for the Movement for Change,” he concluded.
