Manso Adubia MP, DCE, and Chiefs Unveil Road Construction Equipment under DRIP Initiative

The Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, in collaboration with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie South, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi, and traditional leaders, have unveiled road construction equipment under the District Roads Improvement Project (DRIP). The ceremony, which took place at Manso Adubia, marks the commencement of a major effort to improve road infrastructure within the constituency.

The DRIP initiative, spearheaded by the government and supported by the district, aims to address the longstanding issue of poor road conditions, which has hampered transportation and economic activities in the area. The unveiling of the equipment symbolizes a commitment to begin construction and rehabilitation of key roads in the district, including both feeder and trunk roads that connect communities and marketplaces.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo expressed his gratitude to the government for supporting the district’s road infrastructure improvement needs. He noted that the poor road conditions had been a significant challenge for farmers and traders, making it difficult for them to transport their goods and access essential services.

“This initiative will not only improve transportation but also contribute to the overall economic development of the district,” the MP stated.

The MP also emphasized that improving roads in the constituency is key to unlocking the full potential of the local economy. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the DRIP initiative would be effectively implemented, benefiting all communities under the Manso Adubia constituency.

Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi, the DCE, also highlighted the importance of quality road infrastructure in promoting development. He assured the community that the Assembly, in partnership with central government, would continue to prioritize projects that would enhance transportation and open up the district for further economic growth.

“As a district, we understand the critical role roads play in development. We are working tirelessly to ensure that every corner of the district is accessible. This equipment will go a long way in addressing our road challenges,” the DCE stated.

The Chief of Manso Adubia Nana Doku Danquah and other chiefs  who were present at the ceremony expressed their appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a much-needed intervention. They also pledged their support and collaboration with the Assembly to ensure the success of the project.

Residents of the constituency have long been advocating for better roads, and the unveiling of the road construction equipment has been met with excitement and optimism. With the commencement of road construction under the DRIP initiative, the community looks forward to seeing tangible improvements that will positively impact their lives.

The equipment unveiled includes graders, bulldozers, and other machinery required for road construction and maintenance. The project is expected to start in the coming weeks, with several roads already identified as top priorities for construction and rehabilitation.

This road improvement initiative is part of the government’s broader agenda to improve infrastructure across the country, particularly in rural areas where road networks are often in poor condition. The MP urged the community to continue their support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, emphasizing that the administration remains committed to the development of all parts of the nation.

In attendance were district officials, chiefs, community members, and other stakeholders, who all expressed optimism that the DRIP initiative would help transform the district and improve living standards for the people of Manso Adubia.
