The Head of Asene Family of Kumawu Abasi in the Sekyere Kumawu district of Ashanti region, Abusuapanin kwadwo Tawiah has warned Ashanti Regional minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah, District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu Hon Addai Agyekum and constituency chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party Mr Kwadwo Frimpong Fredua to
stay away from the ongoing Chieftaincy dispute between the Asene family of Kumawu Abasi and other faction in the area.
Addressing the media in a news conference at Kumawu Abasi palace today,
Abusuapanin Kwadwo Tawiah revealed that, the case is before Kumawu judicial committee of which they are all waiting for the verdict and their attention has been drawn that Ashanti Regional minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah, Hon Addai Agyekum and Kumawu constituency NPP chairman have thrown their support to the opponent and they are using their political powers to influence the matter before the committee.
The Asene family therefore on this press conference to warned them to stay away from the case because chieftancy dispute is different from politics “They should mind their business Abusuapanin added.
Some of the family members also expressed their disappointment in the Ashanti Regional Minister for saying he is given Asene family one week ultimatum to eject from the Abasi chief palace
