GAWU sensitises staffs of CHED on effective communications to improve productivity

Executives of Ghana Agriculture Workers Union has sensitized 80 staff of Cocoa Health and Extension Division commonly as CHED in Ashanti Region.

The 80 trainees who were taught on Labour law and labour relations, Negotiations and collective bargaining, Leadership and Communication skills and among others, are representatives of CHED from various district in the region.

Mr Edward Okoh Ampofo, GAWU Nationa Chairman indicated that, the workshop will foster communication among the staff and their employers to ensure productivity in the cocoa sector.

He also expressed worry on how cocoa are felling for sand winning and mining Thus, mentioned that, they have requested from government to give them backing so that they can punish offenders. Mr Edward Okoh also advised farmers and other individuals who are such act to refrain from it.

Some of the traineess also shared their excitement to the media on how the training will help them in their endeavors.
