The Former Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta Constituency, Prof. Joseph Albert Quarm has urged constituents of the area to get united so development in the area will be hastened in the constituency.
According to the former MP, the only means through which a community could enjoy development in assurance is by creating agenda in unity.
Advising some group of constituents during his birthday celebration, the former lawmaker disclosed that it was high time people forgo hatred and get united.
Prof. Quarm, who celebrated his 48th birthday organized a free health screening and renewed the Health insurance for constituents who had theirs expired.
Disclosing his purpose, he said that the health of the people was a priority as it gives them enough strength to work in unity.
The former of Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta constituency, Hon. Professor Joseph Albert Quarm said several road projects were awarded for tarring to boost the road infrastructure in the district but these projects were however halted as contractors assigned to discharge works claimed that there were insufficient funds to complete the projects.
The former MP in an interaction with his constituents expressed worry on the issue and therefore assured to embark on a follow –up to ascertain the real state of the various projects which have been neglected.
These are major feeder roads which include Antoakrom-Pakyi no1 & no2,
Yawkrom- Asamang to Agroyesum and other roads which were awarded for reshape under the ambit of the Department of feeder roads.
Hon Quarm said he would double up efforts to ensure that contractors get back to work early as possible to improve the status of the road network in the district.
On his part, Amansie West District Health Director, Mr. Bernard Badu Bediako also commended Prof. Joseph Albert Quarm for his immense contribution to the health sector in the district.
He used the opportunity to call on people in the Amansie West District to be cautious about hypertension.
Some of the beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude to the former Member of Parliament, Hon Prof Joseph Albert Quarm for this kind initiative.
