Mr Joseph Salathiel Kwaku Takyi , popularly known as (Joe sala)Chairman of the Offinso south constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has commended Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku, Member of Parliament (MP) for the area for his immense contributions towards the development of the Offinso south constituency.
He said the NPP MP had brought improvement to the length and breadth of the constituency, and for that matter, played a significant role in the lives of the electorate, especially, in the area of education, health and infrastructure through his MPs Common Fund.
“Our NPP MP has done a lot to promote the development of the area. The development included , cocoa station,theatre ward, police station,20 seater toilet facility,renovation of classroom blocks, provision of boreholes, street lighting projects , cocoa roads and construction of a Party office and others in the constituency.
He described the benevolent act of the legislator as unprecedented in the political history of the Constituency, his 2 and half years in office we have witnesses notable contributions is his unwavering dedication to Development projects within Offinso South Constituency understanding the importance of infrastructure for economic growth, he has actively pursued initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of his constituents, from educational improvements to the provision of healthcare facilities and has show foresight and initiative in bringing tangible benefits to his community.
This statement comes during the Sod cutting by Hon Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku facilitate the construction of this projects.

appealed to the delegates and people of Offinso south constituency to vote massively for the legislature Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku continue with its developmental projects in the area.
The Member of Parliament for Offinso South Constituency Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku has expressed worry as the town seems to be gaining notoriety for ritual internet fraud, popularly known as ‘Sakawa’.
The MP has observed that, reports of youth in the area engaging in “Sakawa” keep soaring with every passing day, a development he described as worrying.
“The rate at which the youth in some instances, students are abandoning school for cyber fraud, popularly called ‘Sakawa,’ has reached alarming proportions in our constituency”
The disturbing trend where it is common to find pupils engaging in this unfortunate acts during school hours and these school children are being influenced by the ostentatious lifestyles of adults engaged in cyber fraud” .He said.
Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku said this when he visited various ongoing developmental projects he had lobbied for the Constituency.
He revealed that series of meetings with security officers in Municipality on how to solve the issue have proved futile, adding that, they will continue to engage stakeholders in the area and find solutions to the problem.
He used the opportunity called on youth to work hard and shun away from quick money like this sakawa activities.
He said he fear that this trend would tarnish the good name of Offinso and are demanding swift action.
Develop Projects
Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku however emphasized that; he will continue to lobby for more projects in the constituency to enhance the living standards of his people.
He noted that that, every community within his Constituency has had their share and seen a developmental project in the last two and half years he took the mantle from the former MP
He however expressed worry about deplorable ‘road networks in the constituency, adding that, due to the bad roads network has barreled this developmental project for the good people of Offinso South to see.
Hon Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku urged the government to as a matter of urgency come and fix the deplorable road which is affecting economic activities of the indigenes and those in adjoining communities.
