An NDC group called young caders in the Ashanti region believes that the Ashanti Region will emerge the decisive region for the NDC in the 2024 elections.
According to Micheal Deku, chairman of the group the NDC is making in-roads in the region and counting on the region to swing to the party’s favour.
Speaking at the fund raising ceremony held in the Asawasi constituency rebuffed claims that the youth in the region have rejected the party.
He said that the youth and the entire Ghanaian has rather bought into the policies of NDC government and will demonstrate that trust in the 2024 election.
He assured the youth in the region that the NDC government will execute major projects and ensure that the ‘glory of Ashanti is restored’.
Touching on E-levy bill, former Ashanti Regional minister hon Samuel Sarpong bemoan the passage against the sounding voices of Ghanaians and several other wicked plans by NPP such as the polarization of the security forces by recruiting members of Delta forces into both the Army and the police making excessive appointments into judicial service and reintroduction of culture of silence into the country’s democratic process only points to one thing and that is, a frustrated grand agenda to hang on to power at all cost” he added.
