YEA Opens Applications for Prison Office Assistants to Tackle Youth Unemployment

In a renewed effort to combat youth unemployment in Ghana, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has launched a nationwide recruitment exercise for Prison Office Assistants (POAs), in partnership with the Ghana Prisons Service.

This initiative, under the mandate of the Youth Employment Agency Act 2015 (Act 887), is designed to offer young Ghanaians an opportunity to gain employment while contributing to national development through the justice and correctional system.

The YEA believes that recruiting Prison Office Assistants will not only help reduce the rising rate of joblessness but also enhance operational support within Ghana’s prison facilities. Successful applicants will be trained and deployed to assist with various administrative and operational duties across selected prison establishments.

Prospective applicants are urged to stay alert for the official opening of the application portal. They are advised to check the eligibility requirements and prepare all relevant documents in advance.

The Youth Employment Agency is committed to creating thousands of job avenues through strategic partnerships with public institutions, and the POA recruitment exercise is one of many to be rolled out this year.

As this opportunity gains nationwide attention, choicenewsonline.com is playing a key role in keeping Ghanaian youth informed and prepared for enrolment.
