In a moment of traditional reverence and goodwill, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, the revered king of Gonjaland, led a high-powered delegation to the Jubilee House to congratulate President John Dramani Mahama following his successful investiture. The courtesy call marked a historic moment in Ghana’s transition of leadership.
Accompanied by a team of paramount chiefs and courtiers from the Gonjaland Traditional Council, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto was joined by the former Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Muniru Limuna, who led the delegation in presenting their formal congratulations to the newly sworn-in president.
Alhaji Muniru Limuna, speaking on behalf of the king, relayed the best wishes and prayers of the Yagbonwura and his council to the president. He emphasized the strong and longstanding relationship between the Gonjaland Traditional Council and the government, offering continued support and cooperation for the nation’s progress.
