WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY: GHANA TVET SERVICE ASHANTI REGIONAL DIRECTORATE SENSITIZED TVET SCHOOLS

To promote hygiene among young girls, in informative sessions about menstrual hygiene and it’s importance in maintaining good health.

Ghana TVET Service Ashanti Regional Directorate commemorated, the 2025 world Menstrual Hygiene under the *THEME*: “Breaking the Silence: Open Conversation about Menstruation hygiene and the need to eshew all forms of practices that are likely to affect their health.

 

 

The event was marked with a special gathering at TVET schools, where boxes of Sanitary pads were distributed TVET schools to support girls in managing their menstrual health with dignity.

Mr Richard Addo Gyamfi the Ashanti Regional TVET Director who led the delegation, emphasize the Directorate commitment to empowering young girls to reach their full potential. He encouraged students to aspire to leadership, assuring them of TVET support in creating a conducive leaving environment.
Mr Richard Addo Gyamfi also urged the girls to take menstrual hygiene seriously, highlighting its role in building self-confidence and improving academic performance.

Finally, Mr Addo Gyamfi encouraged all students to focus on their studies, reminding them that they are the future assets of the nation.

RESOURCES PERSONS

Health Professionals who accompanied with Ashanti Regional TVET Directorate educated the learners on Menstrual hygiene and the need to eshew all forms of practices that are likely to affect their health.
The experts emphasized the need for for girls to prioritize their menstrual health, using sanitary products and practicing good hygiene to prevent infections and maintain their dignity.
