Assembly member for the Adoato-Adumanu electoral area, Hon. Isaac Kwasi Acheampong aka I.K Acheampong has arged Ghanaians, especially the well to do ones, never to play jokes with people such as widows, orphans and mothers.
According to him, such people especially widows and orphans are the true eyes of God who attract much curse to people who offend them, and blessings to those who take good care of them.
The assembly member reveals that anyone who play jokes with people such as mothers, orphans and widows do so to attract the ruin of God’s anger unto himself. He said doing so, you risk attracting God’s wrath and ignoring wisdom.
“It’s onus on us to always put smiles on their faces. Maltreating them is a serious curse, let’s be very careful”. He admonished.
The assembly member admonishes that people take serious notice of such a caution and take good care of the aforementioned personalities.
Backing his claim with a biblical quote, the assembly member said according Psalm 146:9, the Lord upholds widows and fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
He therefore urges everyone especially men to be warily of how they treat people such as widows, mothers (parents) and orphans.
Hon. I.K Acheampong seriously made this appeal when he met to put smiles on the faces of over two hundred (200) widows within his electoral area as part to mark the mother’s day celebration.
Items such as bags of rice, oil, clothes, sardines worth thousands of cedis were shared to the windows by the assembly member.
Speaking to Soireenews, the honourable member revealed that showing love for widows and orphans had been part of him even before he became an honourable member.
He however revealed that his intention to organize such a program again ceased on the way due to the covid 19 pandemic.
“I therefore took the mother’s day celebration as an opportunity to celebrate mothers and widows. I am a type who doesn’t joke with the lives of widows, mothers and orphans”. He said.
He therefore advised that people should empathize widows and orphans due to their vulnerabilities.
On their part, the beneficiary widows commended the honourable member for his usual kind gesture. They therefore pleaded with the other well to do men in the society to follow suit since most widows and orphans suffer in life.
