One key character in the Kidnapped Takoradi Pregnant woman brouhaha is the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah. Truth be spoken, he was the one who indirectly caused all the tensions and commotions that we are experiencing right now, especially in Takoradi. It is said that silence is golden. However, the Western Region Minister who wanted to show that he is the actual owner and manager of the region did otherwise and disclosed a piece of vital and key information that could help the police discover the key atrocities in society.
Philip Osei Bonsu of Asempa Fm called the regional minister and interviewed him live on the “Ekosiisen show”. The Western regional minister explained that he is satisfied that he has been vindicated by the release from the police. OB later asked the minister if he had regretted spilling the information that Madam Josephine was not pregnant.
” I hope you know Takoradi has been branded with kidnapping cases.
There have been cases where people fake kidnapping and cause several forms of alarms which is needless. So I had to do that so that all Ghanaians will know that our region is not a kidnapping region. There was a time that a girl went to hide in her boyfriend’s house and they claimed it was kidnapping. It is a headache to me. What wrong did I do? I am just sad.”, he lamented.
