* WE ARE TIRED OF SHARING WATER WITH ANIMALS -RESIDENTS OF AGOU-FIE CHALLA CRY OVER*

Residents of Agou-fie Challa a suburb of Nkwanta on the kabite road in the Nkwanta South Municipal of Oti region are crying bitterly of sharing same water with cattle, goats, sheep among other livestock.


According to them, they have been suffering since the year 2000 to 2006 Agou-fie challa has recorded severe outbreak of Guinea worm disease which through the efforts of NGO’s from the United States of America who came to treated the disease and again drilled three boreholes for them with additional sensitization on how to treat the water.

They adding that, all  boreholes in the community are no more function and maintained that,if this problem is not solved immediately, there may be another outbreaks.

The residents used the occasion to appealed to the government and Non-governmental organizations to come to their aid and provide them with more boreholes to ensure potable water for them.
