‘We Are Not in Kumawu’ — Kofi Job Constructions Rejects Claims Over Deadly Crash

Kofi Job Constructions has rejected claims linking the company to the recent fatal road accident at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, which claimed the lives of four people on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
In a statement released on Wednesday, January 21, the company made it categorically clear that it is not undertaking any projects in the Kumawu area and that none of its trucks operate along that route. Reports suggesting that one of its vehicles was involved in the accident were described as “completely false and misleading.”
The tragic incident occurred when a tipper truck reportedly lost control and collided with a container structure, leading to the instant death of four individuals. Following the accident, widespread speculation and unverified reports wrongly attributed the vehicle to Kofi Job Constructions.
Responding to the claims, the company emphasized that the truck involved was not part of its fleet and called on the public to avoid spreading misinformation that could tarnish its reputation.
Despite distancing itself from the incident, Kofi Job Constructions extended sincere condolences to the bereaved families and expressed sympathy for all those affected by the tragedy. The company further appealed to the public and media practitioners to verify information before dissemination and to allow relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the facts surrounding the accident.
Kofi Job Constructions concluded by urging caution in reporting sensitive matters such as road accidents, highlighting the importance of accuracy, responsibility, and respect for those affected.
