Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Rejoins Presidency, Commends Political Appointees at General Meeting

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, made a significant return to active government business yesterday as she participated in a general meeting of political appointees at the Presidency. The gathering marked a moment of renewed commitment and strategic direction as the government continues to deliver on its agenda of national development.

Held at the Jubilee House, the meeting brought together ministers of state, presidential advisors, directors of government agencies, and other senior appointees. The Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, extended a warm welcome to the Vice President on behalf of the Presidency, expressing his delight and that of the entire team at her return to the office.

“We are truly happy to have you back with us, Your Excellency,” Mr. Debrah stated. “Your presence reinvigorates our collective resolve to stay aligned with the President’s vision for transforming Ghana.”

 

In her address, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang expressed sincere gratitude to the staff and appointees for their continued dedication and hard work during her brief absence.

“I am deeply thankful for your kind words and for the excellent work you have been doing in driving forward the President’s agenda. Your unwavering commitment to the cause of resetting and rebuilding our beloved nation is commendable,” she said.

She took the opportunity to commend the various ministries and departments for their efforts in implementing key reforms and development projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of Ghanaians. The Vice President emphasized the need for unity, focus, and renewed energy as the administration enters a critical phase of its mandate.

“I encourage us all to press forward with renewed energy and determination. Our nation depends on our shared resolve, and I have every confidence in our collective ability to achieve even greater milestones together,” she urged.

The meeting concluded with strategy discussions focused on enhancing government communication, accelerating project implementation, and addressing emerging national challenges. The Vice President’s presence was seen as a unifying and energizing moment, setting the tone for the administration’s continued push toward national progress.
