Use Your Wealth to Serve Both God and Humanity – Nana Abroso Appeals to Rich Ghanaians

The Assembly Member for Prestea Himan Electoral Area, Hon. Dr. Alex Yaw Baako, affectionately called Nana Abroso, has issued a heartfelt appeal to wealthy individuals across Ghana to use their financial blessings not only for spiritual purposes but also for societal development and support for the underprivileged.

According to him, while it is noble to invest in church projects and religious activities, it is equally important to channel part of one’s wealth into initiatives that uplift the vulnerable, promote education, and develop communities.

“It is good to use our money to support God’s work, but let us also remember the poor and vulnerable in our society. Let’s support the government to build schools and improve our communities,” Nana Abroso said during a community interaction.

He called on his fellow affluent Ghanaians to contribute to building a stronger, more compassionate society by helping the needy, sponsoring brilliant but needy students, and funding social infrastructure.

Nana Abroso also took the opportunity to advise the youth to take education seriously and avoid distractions such as early marriage. He stressed that education remains the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter future.

“Young people, especially girls, should focus on their education. Early marriage limits your potential and closes doors to many opportunities,” he cautioned.

He also made a strong appeal to the government to create more employment opportunities and establish small business support systems to empower the youth and reduce unemployment in the country.

Additionally, the Assembly Member urged the government to come to the aid of Prestea by addressing some pressing infrastructure needs:

Renovation of the Prestea Football Pitch: Nana Abroso highlighted the poor state of the pitch, noting that it is a key facility that can nurture local football talent and keep the youth engaged.

Rehabilitation of the Prestea–Bogoso Road: He described the road as “deplorable” and called on the Ministry of Roads and Highways to intervene urgently to ensure safe and smooth travel for residents and businesses.

Nana Abroso’s message has resonated strongly with residents and stakeholders in the area, who have applauded his dedication to advocating for community welfare and development.
