United We Stand to Recapture Power in 2028” – Atwima Mponua NPP Communicator Rallies Party Faithful for Victory

In a bold and passionate call to action, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Officer for Atwima Mponua, Mr. Albert K. Asiedu, popularly known as A.K. Yesu, has urged party faithful across Ghana to unite, reorganize, and strategically position themselves to recapture political power in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking in a widely circulated statement titled “Uniting to Recapture Power in 2028,” Mr. Asiedu emphasized the critical need for unity, strategic planning, and a shared national vision if the NPP is to return to power and continue its developmental agenda.

“The journey towards victory in 2028 requires more than slogans and aspirations. It demands collective commitment, discipline, and selflessness,” he wrote. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, he quoted: “The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens,” to stress the importance of unity, not just within the party but across the broader Ghanaian society.

Mr. Asiedu highlighted that the concept of “Development in Freedom” reflects the NPP’s values and resonates with the party’s historic mission to empower citizens while fostering inclusive growth. He acknowledged that challenges such as conflicting interests, coordination difficulties, and internal resistance can hinder progress, but remained confident that with resilience and cooperation, these obstacles can be overcome.

He further cautioned that without a unified front, the NPP risks internal fragmentation, which could be detrimental to its political ambitions. Recalling the wise counsel of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Mr. Asiedu reminded party members: “It is better to be a cleaner in Government than to be a General Secretary in Opposition.”

Using cultural references to underscore his message, he invoked the Akan proverb “Ti koro nko agyina,” meaning “one head does not hold counsel,” to reinforce the idea that success comes through teamwork and collaboration.

“The Elephant, our cherished symbol, still holds the power to lead Ghana to greater heights,” he declared. “But that power will only be realized if we rise above our divisions, heal old wounds, and present a unified, disciplined, and visionary alternative to the Ghanaian people.”

Mr. Asiedu concluded his address by reaffirming the party’s faith in divine guidance and the power of unity: “The battle remains the Lord’s, and truly, the Elephant remains a winning symbol!”

His statement has already begun to generate reactions among party activists, with many praising his passionate appeal and call for internal cohesion. As the NPP sets its eyes on 2028, voices like that of A.K. Yesu are expected to play a vital role in shaping the party’s narrative and direction in the years ahead.
